Hours: 35 hours per week

Salary: $45.32 to start

We are looking for a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst to join our Behavior Analyst and Consultation team! This individual must be available to travel to surrounding areas bi-weekly, possess a class 5 driver’s license, possess a BCBA Certification or actively pursuing BCBA certification (enrolled in Masters/ABA course sequence).

Description Of Position

Reporting to: Emily Gallen, Manager of Behavior Support Services

General Responsibilities

  • Travel to surrounding communities using personal vehicle.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with staff and clients.
  • Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Access).
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Knowledge/awareness/agility around people with disabilities.
  • Knowledge/awareness/agility around people of many different cultures.

Program-specific Responsibilities

Includes but is not limited to the following:

Client Related Duties Including

  • Schedules and attends meetings as required.
  • Caries a caseload of clients as assigned and as required.
  • Liaise with other caregivers on the persons served service team.
  • Write accurate Assessment and Discharge reports in the designated format.
  • Advocates for the persons served as required and acceptable within the contract help with MCFD.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all society and client related information.
  • Keeps accurate clinical supervision notes.
  • Conducts Intake Assessments, Ecology Assessments, the VB-MAPP, Functional Behavioural Assessments, and other assessments as required, in multiple environments with each of the persons served.
  • Develops Intervention Plans that incorporate evidence-based intervention in the field of Applied Behaviour Analysis, and Positive Behaviour Support Plans, based on assessment data, the goals and characteristics of the persons served, and the ecology of the family of the persons served.
  • Teaches and demonstrates the strategies in the Intervention Plan and/or Positive Behaviour Support Plan to the persons served, caregivers and Behaviour Interventionists, within the relevant environment(s).
  • Implements and oversee the collection of evidence based pre and post test data and monitor the data to determine the effectiveness of the program.
  • Modifies Intervention Plans and Positive Behavior Support Plans as necessary, based on data, to improve plan effectiveness.

Administrative Duties Including

  • Creates and maintains an accurate and up to date schedule.
  • Performs duties with the assigned balance of direct, indirect and administrative time.
  • Keeps accurate statistics of hours and daily tasks in the designated format.
  • Keeps accurate and legible records on all case work.
  • Reviews all clients on a regular basis with the Program Manager and during clinical meetings.
  • Maintains a professional attitude and behaviour as well as demonstrate respectful and professional communication with staff, families, other caregivers and professionals.
  • Serves as an in-service trainer for the employer as well as a community trainer as required.
  • Establishes and maintains a positive network of contacts within the communities being served.
  • Works with the program’s team to ensure the program meets all of Sources’ Policies and Procedures as well as all applicable COA standards.

Fulfils other related duties as delegated by the Program Manager, Director and employer.

Qualifications

  • Certified as a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst through the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board or actively pursuing BCBA Certification
  • Combination of two years’ experience conducting Behaviour Assessments resulting in the creation of an Intervention Plan or Positive Behaviour Support Plan that incorporates evidence-based intervention in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis along while actively pursuing BCBA certification. Along with possessing a master's degree in related fields.
