Job Description
On behalf of our client, a Vancouver-based digital consultancy specializing in custom software development, product strategy, design, and digital transformation, we are seeking an Account Executive, Technology Solutions to join their growing team.
This organization partners with clients across North America to solve complex business and technology challenges through custom digital products, software platforms, AI initiatives, and consulting engagements. Their approach is highly collaborative, discovery-led, and focused on long-term client partnerships rather than transactional sales.
This role is based in Downtown Vancouver and follows a hybrid model with a minimum of three days per week onsite.
The Role
This is not a traditional software sales position. The successful candidate will operate as a trusted advisor, helping clients understand business challenges, identify opportunities for improvement, and shape consulting engagements that lead into larger technology initiatives.
You will work closely with delivery leaders, architects, engineers, and designers to help clients define problems, evaluate options, and invest in solutions that create measurable business value.
Most opportunities come through inbound inquiries, referrals, existing relationships, and partner channels rather than pure cold outbound activity.
The ideal candidate combines strong business development skills with curiosity, systems thinking, commercial judgment, and a consultative approach.

What You'll Do
Consultative Business Development
- Manage opportunities from discovery through signed engagement.
- Lead conversations focused on business problems, systems, workflows, and operational challenges.
- Qualify opportunities based on fit, budget, scope, and delivery feasibility.
- Build, present, and negotiate proposals and statements of work.
- Maintain an accurate and reliable sales pipeline.
- Work alongside architects, engineers, analysts, and designers to define client solutions.
- Facilitate technical input and translate it into client-friendly proposals.
- Help ensure proposed engagements are realistic, deliverable, and commercially sound.
- Frame recommendations in terms of business outcomes, adoption, and organizational value.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, referral sources, and strategic partners.
- Develop new partnership opportunities with consulting firms, system integrators, and technology organizations.
- Generate repeat business and identify expansion opportunities within client accounts.
- Attend conferences, networking events, and industry functions.
- Represent the organization professionally within the local technology community.
- Support relationship-building activities that contribute to future business opportunities.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience selling professional services, consulting, custom software, digital solutions, technology services, or related offerings.
- Demonstrated history of achieving quota or revenue targets.
- Experience leading discovery and scoping conversations with senior stakeholders.
- Strong proposal development and negotiation experience.
- Experience collaborating with technical teams throughout the sales process.
- Ability to understand business processes, systems, and organizational challenges.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Comfortable discussing both business and technical concepts with varied audiences.
- Experience in consulting, agency, systems integrator, or professional services environments.
- Experience selling AI, automation, digital transformation, or modern software solutions.
- Existing network within the Lower Mainland business or technology community.
- Experience selling into healthcare, logistics, manufacturing, mining, construction, or other operations-heavy industries.
Location: Vancouver, BC (Hybrid – minimum 3 days onsite in Downtown Vancouver)
Compensation
- Base Salary: $100,000
- Variable Compensation: Target OTE of $150,000 ($100K base + $50K performance-based variable compensation)
