As an Accounting Student, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and talented professionals and take part in interesting and challenging work assignments in one of the following areas: Accounts Payable, Vendor & Joint Venture Audit, Financial Accounting, Royalty Accounting, Operations Accounting, or Property Accounting. Our company culture fosters a fun working environment, development of meaningful relationships and continuous learning. Building on classroom studies, you will develop and enhance your skills while working with mentors to ‘kick-start’ a successful career in accounting!

- Job location: Calgary, AB – Head Office
- Shift schedule: 5 days on, 2 days off, 8 hours/day (Monday – Friday)
- Multiple term starts and lengths:
- January 2027 – 8 months
- May 2027 – 4, 8, or 12 months
- September 2027 – 8 or 12 months
- Safety sensitive position: No
- Process capital, revenue, royalty and expense amounts within the terms of governing agreements
- Prepare reports, journal entries and statements of accounts
- Reconcile and analyze various general ledger accounts
- Set up and manage several oil and gas properties and their transaction files
- Gather, research, review, vouch, enter and confirm data accuracy
- Clarify, investigate and respond to queries and disputes from partners and internal departments
- Process audit queries from outside partners and internal audit
- Contribute to project work
- Currently enrolled in your 2nd or 3rd year of an undergraduate degree program in Accounting, with a commitment to a career in Accounting
- Attention to detail is critical, as are strong analytical skills with a strong work ethic and effective communication skills
- Familiarity with and understanding of:
- Accounting concepts and principles
- Research strategies and analytical thinking
- Microsoft Excel
- Competitive salary
