Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Assistant to join our finance team. This role is vital to maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely collection of payments from customers. You will support the accounts receivable process by managing invoicing, payment processing, account reconciliations, and customer communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and send invoices to clients accurately and on schedule
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue payments
  • Record and process customer payments, ensuring proper application to invoices
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies or billing issues
  • Communicate professionally with customers regarding payment status and inquiries
  • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to verify billing details and resolve disputes
  • Maintain accurate records and assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Support general accounting tasks as needed

Qualifications & Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or finance-related roles
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in the construction, traffic control, or related industries is a plus
  • High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
