The Opportunity

As Administration Services Assistant, your primary function is to provide support to the Administration & Human Resources Department including back-up for Switchboard/Reception, Central Files, and support and assistance to facilities functions.

Key accountabilities include, but aren't limited to:

  • Order all Administration supplies;
  • Order stationary;
  • Arrange for repairs and maintenance;
  • Issue security cards and keys;
  • Classify, code and secure all material, file material into system.
  • Operate a multi-line switchboard, answer enquiries, screen calls, assess needs of caller and direct to appropriate person;
  • Greet and direct visitors to correct floor or office after notifying staff of visitor’s arrival;
  • Assist with special projects, as assigned, including, but not limited to office moves; organizing and culling stored documents; and
  • Enter purchase orders.

The Ideal Candidate

You have 1 year relevant experience, Grade 12 education supplemented by office administration and/or business course(s), Minimum typing speed 45 wpm, Intermediate skill in MS Word, Intermediate skill in MS Excel, Intermediate skill in MS Outlook, Basic skill in MS Access OR an equivalent combination of training, education and experience may be considered.
