Village Farms International (Nasdaq: VFF) is a vertically integrated global leader in cannabis and plant-based consumer packaged goods, and sustainable innovation. As one of North America’s longest-standing produce operators built on decades of expertise, we’re a company where growers, innovators, and creators come together to shape the future of high performing plant-based brands, globally.
Joining Village Farms means joining a global team built on purpose, integrity, and ambition. Here, we grow people, ideas and possibilities.
The Opportunity
The Allocation Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining a forward-looking allocation plan for finished cannabis products across provinces and sales channels. This role translates available and upcoming supply into clear deployment recommendations that support revenue goals, customer commitments, and portfolio priorities. The Allocation Planner partners cross-functionally to provide visibility, identify risks and trade-offs, and support timely, data-informed allocation decisions
What You'll Do
Own the Allocation Plan
At Village Farms we are all growers at heart. Our plants and processes require in-person care and attention to ensure we’re bringing the best our plants and people have to offer to our consumers. This means other duties may arise since we work together to ensure we support all business activities – seed to sale.
This role is on-site, which requires you to work on facility at all times in an Allocation Planner role or directly supporting operations.

What You'll Do
Own the Allocation Plan
- Develop, maintain, and continuously refine a rolling, forward-looking allocation plan for finished cannabis inventory.
- Ensure ongoing visibility into how upcoming supply will be deployed across provinces and sales channels.
- Convert supply pipeline inputs, including harvest forecasts, inbound purchases, and product readiness timelines, into clear provincial and channel-level deployment recommendations.
- Balance timing, SKU prioritization, and market commitments to support revenue objectives while minimizing risk.
- Identify, structure, and communicate trade-offs when supply is constrained or misaligned with demand.
- Clearly outline what will ship, what may be delayed, what is at risk, and where decisions or escalations are required.
- Provide recommended options and solutions when constraints arise, rather than identifying issues alone.
- Align available and expected supply with forward demand requirements across provinces and channels.
- Incorporate listing changes, product launches, discontinuations, and channel dynamics into allocation decisions.
- Continuously monitor execution against the allocation plan and adjust allocations as conditions change.
- Proactively identify risks related to supply timing, product readiness, or inventory mix, and escalate early with clear recommendations, such as:
- Reallocation between provinces or channels
- Timing adjustments
- SKU or customer prioritization
- Partner closely with Sales, Supply Planning, Procurement, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment between available supply, commercial commitments, and customer demand.
- Act as a point of clarity when competing priorities arise, grounding discussions in data, business priorities, and structured decision-making
