The Opportunity

Borderless AI is looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Analyst, Payment Operations, to help keep our day-to-day payment operations running smoothly as we scale. You'll support cross-functional teams, streamline internal processes, and serve as a reliable point of contact for operational needs across the business — from workflow coordination to data tracking and process documentation. This role is a great fit for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment and enjoys building order out of complexity.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Own payment operations tasks and workflows, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across teams.
  • Identify inefficiencies in existing processes and recommend or implement improvements to increase speed and reduce errors.
  • Build and maintain clear process documentation, workflows, and communication guidelines.
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal stakeholders and, where applicable, clients, resolving operational questions and escalations.
  • Use AI tools to automate repetitive tasks and improve the speed and quality of operational work.
  • Assist with onboarding new tools, systems, and processes as the company scales.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to translate feedback and operational pain points into process or tooling improvements.
  • Coordinate cross-functional and cross-time-zone requests across and external partners.

Qualifications

  • 2–5+ years of experience in operations, finance, or a related analytical role at a fast-pace startup.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Comfort working with data to track performance, identify trends, and support recommendations (spreadsheets required; experience with SQL).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience working cross-functionally.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with payroll (e.g. ADP) and documentation (e.g. Notion) tools is an asset.
  • Familiarity with using AI tools to improve day-to-day productivity is an asset.

About the Borderless AI team

  • We're an early-stage company and we love to collaborate in person five days a week at our Toronto HQ.
  • We offer a healthy benefits & perks package, including free lunch every day.
  • Customers are the heart of our business — we're obsessed with our customers, and that drives the bulk of our decisions.
  • Big challenges don't scare us. We're solving global problems that need creativity, technology, and determination. Be part of the impact!
  • We'll grant you a lot of autonomy and trust, and back it up with meaningful empowerment and support.

Salary Range: C$70,000 to C$100,000
