Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Application Repackaging Consultant to create, customize, and maintain high-quality installation packages for a diverse range of enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application repackaging, deep-dive troubleshooting, and SCCM integration, along with a passion for automation and deployment management.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain installation packages (MSI, MSIX, App-V, EXE) for enterprise applications.
- Diagnose and resolve complex installation failures, registry conflicts, and runtime errors using tools like Process Monitor and Event Viewer.
- Integrate packages into Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM), including creating Applications/Packages and managing Distribution Points.
- Leverage PowerShell and the PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit (PSADT) to standardize installations and automate deployment tasks.
- Orchestrate software rollouts, manage maintenance windows, and monitor deployment compliance and success rates.
- Collaborate with stakeholders for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and maintain detailed technical documentation for each package produced.
- 6-8 years of hands-on experience in Application Repackaging and conflict resolution.
- Proficiency with packaging suites such as AdminStudio, Advanced Installer, or Master Packager.
- Advanced knowledge of PowerShell, specifically using PSADT for UI interactions and complex logic.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM), including collection management and reporting.
- Deep understanding of Windows Registry, File System, and Windows Installer (MSI) technology.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, or patch management.
