What You'll Do
As an
Application Specialist / Project Manager
, you'll play a key role in designing solutions, supporting customers, and delivering successful industrial projects.
Technical Design & Engineering
Meet with customers to understand operational needs and project requirements
Design hydraulic power units (HPUs) and pneumatic systems
Select system components and prepare requisition requests
Develop hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, assembly drawings, bills of materials, and technical documentation
Perform calculations to determine system capacities and performance requirements
Prepare specifications, project cost estimates, and technical proposals in both English and French
Project Management
Plan, coordinate, and monitor projects from concept through completion
Track project progress and proactively communicate schedule updates and delays
Support production activities and installation projects asrequired
Ensure projects are delivered according to customer expectations, budget, and timeline requirements
Collaboration & Technical Leadership
Oversee the development of assembly drawings and engineering documentation
Serve as the technical expert during proposal and quotation development
Collaborate closely with sales, manufacturing, procurement, and service teams to ensure successful project execution
Contribute innovative ideas and support continuous improvement initiatives across the business
Quality & Process Improvement
Maintain high engineering and documentation standards
Establish and follow procedures that ensure quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction
Identify process inefficiencies and recommend practical solutions to improve performance and productivity
Customer Support
Build strong customer relationships by providing technicalexpertiseand application support
Recommend effective solutions that improve equipment performance, reliability, and operational efficiency

Qualifications
Required
3 to 4 years of experience in hydraulics and pneumatics
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BEng/BSE) in a related field, equivalent technologist training, or 5+ years of relevant hydraulic and/or pneumatic experience
Experience using AutoCAD
Experience with 3D design software (SolidWorks, Atout, or similar)
Strong computer skills, including intermediate Excel proficiency
Ability to communicate, read, and write in both French and English
Assets
Project management experience
Knowledge of PLC programming
Knowledge of electrical design systems
Experience preparing technical proposals and cost estimates
Experience working in industrial automation, hydraulics, or pneumatic applications
Travel Requirements
Ability to travel to customer sites asrequired
Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the assigned territory
Additional Requirements
Successful completion of a background check
Acceptable driver's abstract
