About the Positions

We are seeking enthusiastic, safety-focused individuals to join our Aquatics team in a variety of roles, including Lifeguard, Swim Instructor, and Assistant Lifeguard. These positions are ideal for individuals who are passionate about water safety, teaching, and creating a positive aquatic environment for all participants.

Job Type: Part-Time, Hourly
Start Date: Late August 2026
Shift Commitments:

• Must be willing to work a minimum of one shift per week.
• Must be willing and available to teach a minimum of one (1) swim lesson set per season.

Instructor (Primary Role): Important: This is the primary role and greatest operational need within the Aquatics department. We welcome applications from Instructor-only candidates. Minimum Age: 15 years Pre-Hire Qualifications Required:

• Swim Instructor (SI) or Lifesaving Instructor (LSI)
• Bronze Cross
• Intermediate First Aid & CPR-C
• Note: Support will be provided to Swim Instructors to achieve LSI during employment.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality Lifesaving Society swim lessons for all ages and abilities
• Teach Bronze-level courses, CPR-C, and SwimAbilities courses (once certified to do so)
• Provide an engaging, safe, and inclusive learning environment

Lifeguard / Instructor (Dual Role): Note: Lifeguards must also work as Instructors. Lifeguard-only positions are not available. Minimum Age: 16 years Pre-Hire Qualifications Required:

• National Lifeguard (NL)
• Intermediate First Aid & CPR-C
• Must also hold Instructor qualifications (SI or LSI)

Responsibilities:

• Provide vigilant on-deck lifeguard supervision
• Respond to aquatic emergencies; perform rescues and first aid when required
• Educate patrons on safe aquatic practices and enforce facility rules
• Teach swim lessons and aquatic programs (Instructor role)

Assistant Lifeguard / Instructor (Dual Role): Note: Assistant Lifeguards must also work as Instructors. Assistant Lifeguard-only positions are not available. Minimum Age: 15 years Pre-Hire Qualifications Required:

• Bronze Cross
• Intermediate First Aid & CPR-C
• Must also hold Instructor qualifications (SI or LSI)

Responsibilities:

• Monitor Waterslides and Spray Park
• Assist with lifeguard deck rotations
• Support emergency response situations as needed
• Teach swim lessons and aquatic programs (Instructor role)
