Bartender - PT (Highwayman Pub)

Otter Co-op is now hiring for a Part-Time Bartender for our Highwayman Pub located in Abbotsford, BC.

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the General Manager, responsibilities for this position include the following:

• Providing a positive and friendly guest experience.
• Taking beverage orders from customers or servers and serving drinks as requested
• Keeping a well-stocked bar with an adequate supply of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, napkins, straws and glassware
• Maintain a positive attitude while providing an exemplary guest experience.
• Cleaning, restocking and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift
• Navigate and operate the POS System
• Contribute to the team in living the corporate Values of Integrity, Community and Excellence
• Perform other duties as assigned

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Food Service Industry and:

• Previous bartending experience an asset
• Knowledge and appreciation for beer and wine pairings is an asset
• Valid Serving it Right Certificate
• Must have excellent communication skills, be able to work efficiently in a team setting as well as independently in a fast-paced environment
• Must have a strong work ethic
• This is a physical job requiring the ability to stand for long periods of time and lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds on occasion
• Must be committed to a SAFE working environment
• Must be 19 years of age or older to be considered
• This position is based out of the Highwayman Pub, though it may require on some occasions to travel and work at other locations as business needs arise
• Preferred candidates will have open availability and be able to work a variety of shifts 7 days a week
