The Brewer is a key member of Production who will work with the support of a collaborative brewing team to produce world class beer. Brewers are responsible for safely carrying out all brewing, filtration, and cellar operations to a high standard.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Brew high quality beer while operating brewing, filtration and cleaning equipment and/or tasks in the brewery; while adhering to internal SOPs (standard operating procedures)
  • Maintain work area to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) cleaning standard, while striving to improve environmental metrics and plant organization
  • Maintain accurate written documentation of brewing batches, filtration runs and cleaning logs including ingredient traceability; Some analysis of this data as requested
  • Perform quality control and quality assurance testing on raw materials and beer through routine specification checks and taste panels

Skills & Experience

  • A passion for beer with a minimum 2 years of previous experience in beer production
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to work shift work, including a flexible schedule to support production needs, occasional weekends. Shifts are 8 hours in length and rotate start times between 6am and 3pm on a 16hr production schedule
  • Mechanical background is considered an asset
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, when required
  • Able to stand for 8-10 hours per day
  • Degree or Diploma, preferably in beverage production or adjacent discipline (Brewing Diploma or Certification, Engineering, Food Sciences, etc.)
