Job Description
As the Building Automation Engineer for the Region, you will be responsible for the design, engineering, configuration, implementation, commissioning and ongoing support/maintenance and upgrades of all Operational Technology (OT), Enterprise Applications and Connected Services delivered into the service Line of Business (LOB). This will also include ensuring to adhere to the centralization and standardization of OT, ICT and Cybersecurity implementation and services to promote, deliver and maintain more connected, operational critical solutions to our customers, ensuring alignment and consistency with global standards and guidelines.
The role will be required to drive alignment and standardization of the installation, upgrades and support maintenance of the OT, Enterprise Applications and Connected Services that regularly form part of Honeywell’s solutions to ensure we can execute effectively for our customers, reduce our risk, cycle times, variation, and cost to deliver/service. This will also include working with peers to identify areas where we can streamline delivery by utilizing digital deployment tools and centralized deployment standards.
The Building Automation Engineer team will also be responsible for working in collaboration with the Regional and Pole ICT Engineering teams to ensure correct implementation of ICT and Cybersecurity products and services in line with the HBS Buildings global ICT and cybersecurity offering portfolio.

Qualifications
The annual base salary range for this position is $98,000- $105,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. YOU MUST HAVE
- Minimum 2-3 Years’ experience in the design, implementation and maintenance of building automation technologies, Enterprise Applications and Connected Services
- Strong understanding of Building automation Technologies, Enterprise Applications and Connected Service (HVAC, DVM, Building Security, Energy Manager, OBS, Fire etc.)
- Understanding of industry standard communications protocols (BACnet, Modbus, OPC, SNMP, API)
- College Diploma or bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as engineering or computer science
- Valid Driver’s license is required due to the travel requirements of this role, which includes visiting customer sites approximately 80% to 90% of the time.
- Excellent effective communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, along with proven ability to interact professionally with clients.
- Self-motivated, ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure, determine own work priorities, work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent technical writing skills.
- Knowledge of ICT/Cybersecurity fundamentals
- Intermediate to Advanced computer skills
- Fundamental knowledge of 3rd party IoT technologies and software applications
- Demonstrated experience in organizing and directing work activities according to priorities, and to meet deadlines involving multiple systems projects and vendors.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to develop innovative and creative solutions in a complex multiple systems environments.
- Excellent knowledge of industry standard open communications protocols
- Basic network fault finding capability
- Knowledge of system monitoring toolsets
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- A strong commitment to safety and a safe working environment.
- Strong knowledge of IP network technologies (switch, router, firewall) and solutions, and proficient with IP addressing and allocation
- Ability to plan and schedule large projects
- Willing to develop extensive product knowledge in formal training, and in “on the job” environments, working with latest Honeywell technology
- Able to work cooperatively and provide technical direction in a team environment
- Commitment to customer satisfaction
- The ability to work under pressure
- Capacity to deliver against multiple objectives
- Ability to identify technical solutions to customers’ business needs
- Understanding of Honeywell building technologies and application (BMS, Security, CCTV, Fire etc)
- Essential - Proven track record in a project engineering capacity involved in the design and delivery of technology-based projects
- Involvement in Design and Construct Projects
