Business Manager

Corporate - Calgary, Alberta

Corporate

Employment Type

Full-time, salaried

Minimum Experience

Experienced

Compensation

$55,000–$67,600

Are you the kind of person who sees a problem and thinks, “I can figure this out”?

We are looking for a smart, highly organized and resourceful Business Manager to work closely with executive leadership across a wide range of business priorities. This is not a traditional Business Manager role. One day you may be coordinating a building repair or negotiating with a vendor; the next, reviewing invoices, improving a process, researching an issue, or gathering information for a lawyer, banker or business transaction.

We don't expect you to know everything. We are looking for someone who is curious, takes ownership, learns quickly and follows things through to completion.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate property, facility, repair and maintenance needs
  • Manage relationships with vendors, contractors and service providers
  • Review invoices, investigate discrepancies and support Accounts Payable
  • Maintain contracts, leases, insurance and important business records
  • Support due diligence and requests from lawyers, accountants and bankers
  • Take ownership of projects and operational improvements
  • Build practical trackers, dashboards and processes
  • Research vendors, systems and solutions
  • Use technology and AI to work smarter and solve problems
  • Track executive priorities and ensure decisions and action items get done

You'll Be a Great Fit If You

  • Are exceptionally organized and dependable
  • Take ownership rather than waiting to be told what to do next
  • Enjoy solving unfamiliar problems and finding answers
  • Have strong judgment and attention to detail
  • Are comfortable with numbers, technology and learning new systems
  • Can confidently work with executives, employees, vendors and external partners
  • Manage multiple priorities without losing sight of the details
  • Ask good questions, learn quickly and follow through

Helpful, But Not Required

Experience in business operations, executive support, property/facilities, bookkeeping or Accounts Payable, vendor management, project coordination, contracts, QuickBooks Online, Google Workspace or Asana would be an asset.

Why Join Us?

This is an opportunity to build broad, hands-on business experience rather than being limited to one function. You will gain exposure to operations, property and real estate, finance, technology, legal and corporate matters, while working closely with executive leadership. This position is fully on-site and includes travel responsibilities. If you are curious, capable and energized by solving problems, we'd love to hear from you.
