As a Cloud Infrastructure Analyst you are responsible for implementation, security, monitoring, and maintenance of Microsoft Azure solutions, including major services related to Compute, Storage, Network and Security.

The Cloud Infrastructure Analyst supports and expands development and operations (DEV/OPS) and automation capabilities and assists in administering Cloud systems and Cloud environments to ensure availability, reliability, security, and integrity.


Responsibilities

  • Implement, monitor, and maintain Microsoft Azure solutions including compute, storage, network and security.
  • Support the design, implementation, configuration, and maintenance of various Azure IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) and PaaS (Platform as a Service) environments.
  • Deploy and maintain Azure IaaS Virtual Machines, Azure Application and Networking Services to support growth into the cloud.
  • Build, deploy, and maintain containers (stand-alone (Docker) and orchestrated with Kubernetes).
  • Optimize Azure buildouts for cost/performance (VM optimization, reserved instances, etc.).
  • Participate in the implementation and delivery of Microsoft Azure projects.
  • Configure, optimize, and maintain Active Directory.
  • Implement, configure, and maintain Cloud backups, including policy creation and retention periods.
  • Implement and maintain Cloud Storage solution ensuring cost containment.
  • Implement, maintain, test, and document Disaster Recover (DR) Plans.
  • Ensure adherence to architectural standards/principles, global product-specific guidelines, usability design standards, etc.


Qualifications

  • Diploma in Computer Science or related IT discipline.
  • Microsoft certifications such as Azure Fundamentals, Azure Administrator, and Azure DevOps Engineer are an asset.
  • Five years of experience in the IT industry, including:
  • Two years across Cloud Platforms, including deployments in Microsoft Azure or other large cloud platforms with experience with cloud migrations, automation and/or Infrastructure as Code.
  • Two years of project management or technical leadership experience in the same or related technical support discipline.


Conditions of Employment

  • This position participates in rotating on-call support.
