About the Opportunity

Mantech Enterprises Inc. is looking for multiple full-time CNC Machinists based in North Vancouver, BC, on a 4-day 10hr shift schedule, or 5-day 8hr schedule.

Reporting to the Machine Shop Lead, you will play a pivotal role in keeping the machine shop running efficiently by producing high-quality precision parts on time, to spec and in line with aerospace quality standards. You will be primarily responsible for setting up, programming and operating CNC mills, lathes and manual machine tools, while maintaining accurate documentation and contributing to a safe, continuously improving workshop.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Machining top-quality parts within allotted timeframes to ensure timely machine shop throughput
• Setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes, including selecting appropriate milling tools and holders
• Operating manual machine tools as required
• Programming CNC machines using CAD/CAM software, including modelling, CAM, long-hand and macro programming
• Using ERP software to plan, schedule and manage work
• Completing all documentation requirements, including time tracking, quality assurance and operation completion records
• Ensuring personal compliance with AS9100D quality standards
• Adhering to established team standards, processes and procedures
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of shop processes and procedures
• Applying creative problem-solving to machining and production challenges
• Championing the maintenance of a safe and clean department

About You

To qualify, you will need a Journeyperson Machinist certification, ideally with a Red Seal endorsement, or relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a Red Seal. A minimum of 5 years' experience in CNC machining will also be essential.

The following are also required:

• Knowledge of CNC milling, milling tools and milling holders
• Knowledge of CNC lathes and manual machine tools
• Knowledge of CAD/CAM software
• Experience using ERP software to plan, schedule and manage work
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Outlook and Office

Additionally, these skills and background will be highly valued:

• Modelling and CAM programming experience
• Long-hand and macro programming skills
• Experience with Fusion
• Experience with ProShop ERP
