Reporting to the Manager, Communications, you will turn approved advocacy, policy, member and event information into clear, engaging content; keep our digital channels current; and help strengthen TIAC’s connection with members, partners and the wider tourism community. This newly created position is a hands-on execution and coordination role for someone who enjoys writing, creating, publishing and keeping many moving pieces on track. Communications strategy, key messages and final approvals remain with the Manager, Communications.

· Complete routine website updates through the content management system, including news, events, resources, images, links and downloadable files.

· Support email and press communications by preparing and formatting member updates, newsletters, advocacy and marketing campaign content, and media outreach.

· Help capture and publish timely content at TIAC events and activities, which may occasionally require work outside regular hours or travel.

· Track channel performance, prepare reports and recommend practical improvements based on audience engagement and content results.

· Review digital content for accuracy, accessibility, brand consistency and functioning links.

What you bring

· One to three years of relevant experience in communications, marketing, public relations or related fields.

· Strong communications, marketing, and/or journalism or public relations foundations, with the ability to turn complex policy, advocacy or organizational information into clear, audience-friendly content.

· Hands-on experience with organizational social media accounts, content calendars, media monitoring and outreach, publishing tools and online communities.

· Experience updating website content through a content management system and formatting email communications in Constant Contact, MailChimp or other email tools.

· Knowledge of SEO best practices, keyword research, and search performance measurement. Familiarity with AI-driven search optimization and emerging digital marketing technologies.

· Basic photography and short-form video skills, along with confidence using established templates in tools such as Canva or Adobe Express.

· Excellent judgment, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines, contributors and approvals.

· A collaborative approach, with a willingness to learn and try, be a team player, be creative, and form solid working relationships.

· Relevant post-secondary education or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

· At least 3 examples of your work across social, web, email, PR, or short-form content.

Nice to have

· Experience working in tourism, an association, government relations, a nonprofit or an advocacy-focused organization.

· The ability to work in both English and French.

· Photography, videography, and intermediate or higher video production expertise

Why join TIAC?

· Contribute to work that supports tourism businesses, destinations and communities across Canada.
