Purpose

Perform all aspects of underground construction.

Responsibilities

• Must perform all aspects of underground construction including timbering, infrastructure installation, cement work, shotcrete, steel work, oxy acetylene, underground structural installations.
• The installation and removal / replacement of air, water, sump and paste line services as required.
• Must be able to operate jackleg, stoper, air tuggers , moving hoist, a large variety of u/g mobile equipment including scissordecks, LHD equipment , boom trucks , service vehicles
• Must be able to read and understand mining and construction plans,
• Other duties as assigned by the Frontline Supervisor.

• High School Diploma
• Underground Common Core Certificate
• U0003 Set up Wooden Staging
• U0004 Drill Rock
• U0005 Rock Bolt Ground
• U0006 Blast Rock
• U0011 Extend Services
• U0013 Operate Lifting Mechanism(s)
• U0024 Operate Utility Vehicle
• Minimum of five (5) years mining experience, including 3 years in a construction role.
• Trained and licensed on mobile equipment in the mine for job requirements
• Underground experience with vent door, bulkheads, cement forming, infrastructure installations, pipe installation,
• Shotcreting/ Concrete and forming work
• Rigging
• Shaft experience, track maintenance are considered assets
