Richelieu Hardware is looking for a Customer Service Agent - Retail for the Trans-World Distributing (Div. of Richelieu Hardware Canada), Dartmouth, NS
More specifically, the main responsibilities of the position are to:
- Service and sell products to walk-in contractors and retail customers
- Priority is to be at the counter to serve the needs of the customer and to ensure the counter is adequately staffed from open until close.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and ensure that their needs are met, and their concerns are addressed.
- Ensure accuracy of sales transactions
- Assist customers with product selection
- Ensure that the sales counter area and showroom are clean, organized, and stocked with products.
- Participate in product training sessions.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all employees and customers.
- Assist other counter staff during scheduled breaks and lunch periods.
- Assist with sales order picking.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in industrial/retail sales.
- Proficient in computers (Will train on Transworld specific systems)
- Knowledge of industrial fasteners and hardware preferred.
- Ensure counter staff has your support, this means being always visible for customer service .
- At month end all running slips are to be collected, reviewed for accuracy, and forwarded to the Senior Sales Coordinator for invoicing.
- Assist with daily order picking
- Ensure inventory levels are adequately maintained in the showroom.
- Ensure all pickup orders created for the day are processed by days end. Using additional assistance from other counter staff when available.
- When necessary, provide order picking assistance to the warehouse staff.
- Assist with general warehouse duties; shipping, receiving, stock placement, cycle counting, shelf maintenance.
- Assist the inside sales team with the phones only when required. They will provide the training.
