Located in Mississauga, ON, Republic Packaging of Canada is one of Chicago-based Republic Packaging Corp.'s five North American operating locations. As a 60 year-old provider of cushion packaging we are known for outstanding design, quality and customer service. In addition to packaging, we provide warehouse management services that can complement our packaging products or be a stand-alone service to provide solutions to our customers' problems.

With our eye toward growth, we are actively working to grow our sales by 50% over the next 3 years and enter new markets with our packaging and service offerings. We are seeking an experienced and insightful Customer Service professional to join the team at our ISO certified facility and support our service and packaging deliverables.

Role responsibilities:

  • Interact with customers via telephone, email, or in person to provide support and information on products or services.
  • Collect and enter orders for new or additional products or services.
  • Billing and office support.
  • Build rapport with customers and work to ensure they receive excellent service.
  • Update customer information and requirements as necessary.
  • Use company ERP system to retrieve necessary customer information, inventory information, and purchase order status.
  • Field customer questions and complaints; when the issue is beyond the representative's knowledge, escalate to the appropriate individual.
  • Ensure that appropriate actions are taken to resolve customers' problems and concerns.
  • Maintain customer accounts and records of customer interactions with details of inquiries, complaints, or comments.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Putting things in non-HR speak……do what it takes to make sure our customers are taken care of. We pride ourselves on servicing the heck out of our customers and need someone to step in and live & breathe it. We'll give you the tools and you need to bring the heart and talent- simple as that!

What you bring:

  • 2 - 4 year college degree in Business or related area preferred.
  • 1 - 3 years of Customer Service experience in a Business to Business capacity.
  • Experience in the packaging industry preferred manufacturing a close second.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Service-oriented and ability to resolve customer grievances.
  • Ability to maintain good customer relations.
  • Excellent computer skills with an ability and willingness to learn and adapt to ERP systems and processes.

Yeah, as you would have guessed, the person we put in this seat needs to have the background and skills to meet our standards and those that our customers have become accustomed to. Sure, it's our fault for doing what we've done and setting the bar where we have – we need a rockstar to help keep it there. Of course, if you're THAT person we'll take care of you.

What we offer:

  • Near 50-year presence in Canada – yup, we're established and stable.
  • Single shift operation – no funky, weird work times. If you're not home in the evening that's on you to explain to your significant other.
  • Compensation commensurate with experience – see above, if you're THAT person you'll be taken care of.
  • A structured and supportive environment – we're not putting you on an island.
  • Paid vacation, holidays and sick days – yeah, we understand people have lives.
  • RRSP and Extended Health Benefits – and that sometimes they get sick.
  • Clearly defined processes and expectations – no surprises or ambiguities (big word for the day!)
  • Growth opportunities for the right individual – it doesn't stop here if you don't want it to.
