The Opportunity:

Work alongside the Transportation Manager to ensure all scheduled deliveries for the next day are routed optimally inside of TMS system. Review vehicles and ensure that maintenance is up to date. Responsible to oversee/facilitate the reliable transportation medication and medical supplies in a safe and timely manner from the facility to medical clinics and to clients across Ontario and providing “white glove” service at each delivery location.

A Day in the Life (What you will do here):

  • Review delivery orders in the TMS and assign them to the appropriate routes.
  • Assist to co-ordinate next-day delivery schedules to ensure efficient and timely route planning.
  • Conduct daily end of shift vehicle checks and report any damage or maintenance or safety concerns to transportation manager
  • Serve as the primary contact point for delivery issues and co-ordinate with pharmacy to ensure successful delivery
  • Use the Driver App to verify all shipments are accurately loaded and fully delivered at each stop.
  • Review orders before departure and after delivery to confirm completeness and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide “white glove” service at each delivery location, including unloading, unpacking, and placing items as required.
  • Remove empty totes, coolers, packaging, and other delivery materials from client sites.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, drivers, and management throughout the day.
  • Keep delivery vehicles clean, organized, and ready for operation at all times.
  • conduct daily pre-trip & post-trip vehicle safety inspections
  • Support warehouse or pharmacy operations with general housekeeping and other assigned duties when needed.
  • Promote safe handling, accurate delivery, and excellent service standards at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you need to ensure you are set up for success:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Delivery Driver (Preferred)
  • Valid driver's license (Class G) in Ontario
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • Experience driving delivery van or truck is an asset.
  • Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws.
  • Strong time management and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Experience delivering to and from medical clinics or pharmacies is a strong asset
  • Must be bondable and insurable and complete a criminal background check

  • The anticipated hourly rate hiring range for this role is $23 to $24 annually/hourly. The final hourly rate will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, and internal equity.
