Electrician
Royal York Property Management
Date: 5 hours ago
City: Welland, ON
Contract type: Full time
Electrical, Maintenance, Skilled Trades
Compensation: Competitive appointment-based and hourly compensation based on experience, verified qualifications, approved electrical scope, and the type of work assigned.
Royal York Property Management is one of Canada’s leading property management companies, managing thousands of residential rental properties across Ontario. We are looking for experienced, reliable Electricians to join our growing network of service professionals.
This role involves travelling to residential and commercial properties to diagnose electrical issues and complete repairs, service calls, and installations within your verified legal scope. Electricians will work independently, manage appointments through a mobile work app, document their findings, and complete assigned work safely and professionally.
What to Expect After Applying
If your resume aligns with the role, you will receive an email within 24 to 48 hours of applying with a link to complete a pre-recorded online interview.
The interview allows us to learn more about your electrical experience, trade status, legal work setup, areas of expertise, diagnostic ability, tools, vehicle, availability, and comfort using a mobile work app before moving qualified candidates to the next stage of the hiring process.
What You’ll Do
Electricians will only be assigned work that matches their verified experience, trade status, insurance, contracting setup, and legal authority.
Electrical trade status and legal electrical contracting authority are separate requirements. Before any electrical work is assigned, Royal York Property Management will verify that the work can be completed through an appropriate legal electrical contracting setup.
Work involving panels, service upgrades, EV chargers, generators, major rewiring, aluminum wiring, knob-and-tube wiring, or other higher-risk electrical work will only be assigned after the technician’s qualifications, scope, permits, notifications, inspection requirements, and legal setup have been reviewed and approved.
Electricians are expected to stop and report any work that is unsafe, outside their approved scope, or requires additional authorization.
