Position Summary
Event Security staff are an essential part of events at the Ovintiv Events Centre. They perform key roles such as bag checks and pat downs, crowd monitoring, bus and dressing room security, and stage security.
This role pays an hourly rate of $19.75-$22.00 CAD
Benefits for Part-Time roles: Pension matching.
This position will remain open until September 4, 2026.

About The Venue

Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure guests have a great fan experience
- Ensure areas are safe for patrons and staff
- Perform ID checks of patrons to ensure they are of legal drinking age
- Anticipate and correct any trouble situations in your area
- Anticipate and diffuse potentially unsafe situations
- Assist in guest evictions as required
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required
- Perform written event summaries after each shift
- Assist with housekeeping items during and after events
- A valid AST or BST license is required. We provide reimbursement for the expenses related to obtaining and renewing these licenses
- Must be friendly, courteous and polite with a positive attitude
- Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time
- Confident working independently or as part of a team
- Must have a flexible schedule that allows for evening and weekend work
- Comfortable working in an environment where alcohol is served
- Comfortable working in an environment that is often loud, dark, and crowded
- Must be willing and able to complete a Police Information Check
- Must complete an Online Orientation and in-person training session.
