We’re the bridge between Calgary Airports and the communities, governments, industry partners, and Indigenous groups we work with every day. helping YYC show up thoughtfully, consistently, and with purpose.
Our work spans community outreach, charitable donations & sponsorships, government and industry advocacy, official languages compliance, and special projects that help tell YYC’s story. No two weeks look the same, and there’s always something new to work on.

What Are Some Of The Responsibilities
- Coordinate community engagement activities that support Calgary Airports’ external relations objectives, following established plans and direction.
- Support the aircraft noise complaint program by monitoring submissions, identifying trends, responding to community inquiries, and contributing to regular reporting.
- Organize logistics for community meetings, workshops, consultations, and events, including scheduling, materials, and internal coordination.
- Support the development and coordination of external-facing communication tools such as community or industry newsletters, including drafting content and coordinating approvals.
- Assist with monitoring publicly available information from government and industry stakeholders and compiling summaries for internal review.
- Maintain accurate records, trackers, and databases related to stakeholder engagement and external relations activities.
- Provide coordination support for community events and outreach initiatives, including ensuring branding, signage, and materials are accurate and complete.
- Act as a member of the Communications & External Relations emergency response callout team, as assigned.

- 1-3 years of experience in a communications, community engagement or stakeholder relations focused role.
- Experience supporting or managing stakeholder relationships in a professional setting, including interacting with internal or external stakeholders and supporting related activities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) to produce professional materials such as newsletters, briefing notes, presentations, and summaries.
- Bilingual in English and French.
- Post‑secondary education in communications, public relations, community engagement, public administration, business administration, marketing, journalism, or a related field is preferred.
- Awareness of government or public-sector environments, including an interest in monitoring government or industry issues.
- Experience supporting public consultations, community events, or stakeholder-facing programs.
