West Fraser offers a range of exciting career opportunities for individuals seeking challenging and rewarding careers. Our Cariboo Pulp division is currently recruiting for a Fibreline Shift Supervisor.

Reporting to the Fibreline Manager, the successful candidate will work closely with hourly mill personnel in the Fibreline and Material Handling areas providing direction, support, and training. A high degree of professionalism and leadership is required.

You'll Do

  • Ensuring consistent mill operations and achieving operating target goals
  • To take full responsibility of the shift including supervision of crews in Pulping Group, Material Handing, Machine room and Pulp Warehouse
  • Manage, develop and motivate direct reporting employees
  • Maintain good morale amongst employees and foster good management/employee relations
  • Ensure that Health and Safety is maintained as priority, leading by example, ensure all team members follow policies, procedures and WorkSafe BC regulations

You Have

  • Strong interpersonal, decision making, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Demonstrated problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Flexible availability to work 12-hour shifts
  • Heavy industry experience
  • Proven leadership abilities and supervisory experience
  • Computer skills
  • Desire to progress, learn, grow, and succeed
  • Kraft Pulp mill experience is considered an asset

Compensation Package

  • The salary range for this position may vary depending on experience, education, and location. The range is between $124,000 and $147,000 per year
  • Annual bonus opportunity
  • Outstanding benefits package including medical, dental, pension, life insurance, disability, accident insurance, vacation, and holidays
