Partner with the best

As a Field Engineer I, you will serve as the frontline representative of Baker Hughes' Service Delivery organization, supporting the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, optimization, and performance monitoring of Artificial Lift Systems. You will develop technical expertise through direct field engagement while collaborating with customers, field service personnel, applications engineers, and reliability engineers to ensure safe and reliable operations. Through the LEAD Development Program, you will build the technical, commercial, and leadership capabilities necessary for future progression into advanced engineering and technical leadership roles.

As a Field Engineer I, you will be responsible for:


  • Supporting field operations for Electrical Submersible Pumping (ESP), HPump, and associated surface systems.
  • Assisting with the installation, commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and optimization of artificial lift equipment.
  • Monitoring equipment performance and developing an understanding of system behavior, failure modes, and operational best practices.
  • Interfacing directly with customers and field personnel to identify operational challenges, communicate solutions, and deliver exceptional service.
  • Capturing lessons learned and participating in technical reviews, case studies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborating with Applications Engineering and Reliability Engineering teams to support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, compliance, and operational excellence in all activities.
  • Participating actively in the LEAD Development Program to build technical, business, leadership, and customer engagement competencies.
  • Taking ownership of customer challenges and developing practical problem-solving skills that improve operational performance.

  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related STEM discipline.
  • Demonstrate strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with a desire to work in a dynamic field environment.
  • Possess effective problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Be willing to travel as required to support customer operations and field activities.
  • Show a strong desire to learn, take ownership, and develop into advanced engineering and leadership roles.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to safety, quality, and customer-focused execution.
