We are looking for a Finishing Operator to ensure products are completed to quality standards through accurate finishing, inspection, packaging, and preparation for shipment.
This position is currently open and reflects a replacement position due to an internal transfer, promotion, or departure.
Responsibilities

Reporting directly to ISM Supervisor, I – Cut Operator will fulfill requirements associated with preparing, operating and maintaining LFD Printer equipment. The incumbent will be responsible for all elements of the print process from the ripping of the files, management of the physical printing process to achieve color, daily and weekly maintenance routines and managing stock and equipment consumables

Responsibilities

Reporting directly to ISM Supervisor, I – Cut Operator will fulfill requirements associated with preparing, operating and maintaining LFD Printer equipment. The incumbent will be responsible for all elements of the print process from the ripping of the files, management of the physical printing process to achieve color, daily and weekly maintenance routines and managing stock and equipment consumables
- The position is responsible for: feeder operations; registration control: ripping of files; maintaining adequate equipment supplies; housekeeping of equipment area; inspection of printed products for imperfections and defects; doing the First Piece Inspection; preventive maintenance; maintaining quality and safety at the equipment and around the operating area.
- Responsible for the operation and general maintenance of large guillotine’s and finishing equipment (i.e. Laminator, heat sealer, heat bender, etc.)
- Responsible for operation and general maintenance of the Clam operator and Heidelberg equipment.
- Interact with equipment service personnel and be able to clearly identify equipment problems.
- Responsible for loading, unloading, cleaning and maintaining the equipment.
- Maintain daily time, production, and material usage reports.
- Follow job instructions listed on production matrixes.
- Maintain SOP’s as per written or verbal instructions and follow all SOP’s applicable to the work assigned.
- Perform all other duties as requested by Management in order to help the team with effort.
- Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by following all workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives, including reporting all first aid injuries, accidents, and workplace hazards.

- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Exceptional attention to detail and good command of the English language (read, write, speak) with respect to understanding and following all verbal and written instructions, completing paperwork and requisitioning of materials accurately and efficiently, complying with safety procedures and processes.
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communications skills.
- Well organized, proactive and positive approach in the workplace.
- Ability to work independently and harmoniously within in a team environment.
- Physical demands include pushing and pulling of product and the ability to lift a minimum 20lbs unassisted.
- Strong skills in problem identification and solution oriented.
- Flexible and quality driven.
- Available to work overtime as required.
