  • Position Type: unscheduled part time

The hiring rate for this role is $ 18.75 per collective agreement/employee association agreement.

As a Food Service Aide (FSA) joining our Village, you will:

  • Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents, families, and team members.
  • Work in an accurate, quick, and safe manner.
  • Be able to lift up to 50lbs (5-20 lb. usual), and push/pull wheeled equipment such as carts and trolleys that weigh a maximum of 100 lbs. (20-50 lb. usual).
  • Possess exceptional time management skills and ability to work in collaboration with a team.
  • Assist in serving meals and beverages to our residents ensuring we meet residents’ diets and food preferences while following safe and sanitary food handling techniques.
  • Support with the preparation of catering functions and events, and maintaining a clean dining room and workspace.
  • Be able to stand or walk for the majority of your shift (8-hours maximum).
  • Support and embrace our resident-centered social culture and be proud to deliver the highest quality of customer service to our residents.
  • Have a valid Smart Serve Certification.
  • Hold a valid Food handlers certification.

It would be an asset if our new Food Service Aide has:

  • Completed, enrolled in or willing to enroll in the Food Services Worker training program
  • Hold a valid Food Safety Awareness certification or equivalent.
