We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Front End & Bakery Manager to join our leadership team. This fast-paced, hands-on role is responsible for leading the Front End, Admin, and Juice Bar teams while ensuring excellence in customer service, operational efficiency, product quality, food safety, and team development.
Role Overview
The Front End & Bakery Manager plays a key leadership role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Front End & Bakery departments. You will lead, coach, and develop team members while ensuring departmental tasks are prioritized and completed efficiently.
As one of the primary points of contact for customers at both the beginning and end of their shopping experience, you will play an important role in delivering exceptional customer service, resolving concerns, maintaining efficient checkout operations, and creating a positive and welcoming environment.
You will work closely with Store and Department Management to support overall store operations, drive departmental performance, and maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, safety, and teamwork.

This position requires flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Front End & Bakery Manager to join our leadership team. This fast-paced, hands-on role is responsible for leading the Front End, Admin, and Juice Bar teams while ensuring excellence in customer service, operational efficiency, product quality, food safety, and team development.
Role Overview
The Front End & Bakery Manager plays a key leadership role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Front End & Bakery departments. You will lead, coach, and develop team members while ensuring departmental tasks are prioritized and completed efficiently.

You will work closely with Store and Department Management to support overall store operations, drive departmental performance, and maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, safety, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate the Front End & Bakery teams to meet departmental goals and operational standards
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, training, and development of Admin Clerks, Juice Bar Clerks, Bakery Clerks, Cashiers, and Maintenance Staff
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and support to team members, including annual performance reviews
- Coordinate daily activities, ensuring tasks are prioritized and completed efficiently
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding to customer concerns, complaints, and requests using sound judgment to achieve customer satisfaction
- Monitor checkout lines and staffing levels to minimize customer wait times and ensure efficient and timely service
- Operate cash registers and assist the cash office and other Front End departments as required
- Ensure the security and accuracy of cash systems, cash drawers, and the safe
- Provide authorized key access to cashiers for refunds, overrides, and other required transactions
- Maintain open communication with Store and Department Management regarding operational issues, customer concerns, staffing, and other pertinent information
- Manage store and department operations in the absence of Store or Department Managers
- Maintain high standards of employee morale while promoting cooperation, teamwork, accountability, and engagement
- Ensure the highest quality of products is produced and displayed by following proper receiving procedures, monitoring shelf life, maintaining temperature records, and properly rotating stock
- Ensure a high level of cleanliness and organization is maintained throughout all Front End, Cash, Juice Bar, and Bakery areas
- Ensure team members properly handle products and equipment in accordance with food safety and workplace safety guidelines
- Participate in monthly inventory counts for the Juice Bar & Bakery
- Assist with the development and implementation of special store and community events
- Act as a resource for other departments when operational issues arise and demonstrate effective problem-solving with a sense of urgency and professionalism
- Work with Department and Store Management to develop comprehensive knowledge of all store departments to better serve customer needs and support professional development
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives focused on increasing productivity, profitability, operational efficiency, and customer service
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Store Operations Manager
- Previous managerial or supervisory experience, preferably in a customer service, grocery, food service, or retail environment
- Previous experience working with Front End POS systems
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with customers and team members
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and judgment skills
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and effective in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands
- Ability to effectively delegate tasks and manage time and resources
- Experience providing coaching, feedback, and performance support to team members
- Ability to motivate and develop employees while promoting teamwork and accountability
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence
- Ability to analyze information, use sound judgment, and consider the impact of decisions on customers, sales, productivity, and profitability
- Understanding of inventory management, payroll, and shrink control
- Commitment to continuous improvement and willingness to embrace change
- Ability to recognize and uphold company values while promoting high standards and excellence
- Food safety knowledge and experience in a food retail environment considered an asset
- Work involves continuous interaction with customers and team members in a fast-paced environment
- Majority of time spent standing, walking, and performing active duties
- Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements, bending, reaching, and occasional heavy lifting
- Ability to lift and carry approximately 5–20 lbs regularly, with a maximum weight of 50 lbs
- May be exposed to varying temperatures, including refrigerated areas
- May be exposed to common food allergens
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, including up to four hours without a break
