What You’ll Do
As the face of Specsavers, our Retail Associates (Eyecare Consultants) play a vital role in delivering exceptional eye care and affordable eyewear for everyone. You will create memorable experiences for our customers, guiding them through our stylish frame collections and supporting those trying contact lenses for the first time. No Optical experience? No problem – we will provide full training and support to help you succeed.

What You’ll Do
As the face of Specsavers, our Retail Associates (Eyecare Consultants) play a vital role in delivering exceptional eye care and affordable eyewear for everyone. You will create memorable experiences for our customers, guiding them through our stylish frame collections and supporting those trying contact lenses for the first time. No Optical experience? No problem – we will provide full training and support to help you succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers warmly, creating a friendly and approachable environment in the store.
- Build strong connections by understanding customers’ needs and recommending the best possible eyecare solutions.
- Guide customers in selecting frames that suit their lenses and personal style.
- Explain offers, products, and services clearly and confidently to ensure customers make informed choices.
- Perform pre-screening tests such as retinal imaging, pressure checks, and visual field testing (full training provided).
- Measure and adjust frames for a comfortable and precise fit.
- Process orders for prescription glasses and contact lenses accurately and efficiently.
- Schedule follow-up appointments to maintain excellent customer care.
- Act as a proud ambassador for Specsavers, championing our behaviors and values in every interaction.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends is required for this role
- A passion for creating “WOW” moments through exceptional customer service and finding innovative ways to enhance the optical shopping experience
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment, staying organized and composed under pressure.
- Reliability and flexibility to work retail hours
- Friendly, outgoing, and confident demeanor, paired with the ability to provide knowledgeable product recommendations and styling advice
- Motivated by building long-term customer relationships, embracing Specsavers’ Customer Experience model that prioritizes lasting connections over short-term results
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is an asset—but not essential
- Enthusiasm for learning about frames, lenses, and pre-testing procedures
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. Specsavers is unable to provide support for immigration or permanent residency applications
