How You Will Make An Impact

You will be responsible for supporting our daily operations with a wide range of tasks such as cleaning, cash handling, food preparation, serving meals, and dishwashing.

Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and comply with all applicable pay transparency legislation. As a General Helper, You Will

  • Assist with food preparation, set up and cleanup of chairs & tables, serving meals, delivering trays to residents, dishwashing and maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen.
  • Perform duties according to health & safety guidelines, report all injuries and hazards to the supervisor immediately and other reasonable requests from management
  • Perform sales transactions in a timely fashion
  • Interact with customers and resolve customer complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • Ensure compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures
  • Ensure compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements
  • Make recommendations, cross-sell products and introduce new ones

About You

  • A valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent is an asset
  • Previous housekeeping and food services experience is an asset
  • Previous experience in the healthcare environment or long-term care setting is preferred
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good command of English language, both verbal and written and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
