General Labourer (On-Call)

Description:

ATCO Frontec is seeking a casual, on-call General Labourer to join our ATCO Facility Solutions team in Lethbridge, AB. This position involves frequent travel between Lethbridge & Medicine Hat. The General Labourer will assist trades personnel with preventative maintenance, inspection and general support tasks to ensure safe and efficient operations across sites.

Where We Work and Live:

ATCO Frontec provides preventative and corrective maintenance services for our customers throughout Alberta. Our maintenance teams are mobile, and travel will be required in this position.

Responsibilities:

• Provide input into the preventive maintenance plan;
• Assist with various project tasks (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, drywalling, warehouse support, etc.)
• Assist the tradespersons with inspections and general maintenance tasks
• Complete regular maintenance checks on equipment;
• Propose alternative solutions to mitigate delays;
• Organize supplies, and handle pick-up and drop-off logistics;
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Minimum of one year of experience in general trades; experience in electrical construction or maintenance would be considered a strong asset.
• Power Engineering Certificate is considered a strong asset.
• Class 5 license and clean drivers abstract is required.
• Must be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol Test, Fit-to-Work Test, and Extensive Background Check.
• Must be able to obtain Government Security Clearance.
• Good mechanical skills and understanding of building components and equipment.
• Good communication, customer service and teamwork skills.
