Royal York Property Management is one of Canada’s leading property management companies, managing thousands of residential rental properties across Ontario. We are looking for dependable, skilled Handyworkers to join our growing network of maintenance professionals.

This role involves travelling to residential rental properties to complete a wide variety of maintenance, repair, inspection, and installation tasks. Every day is different, and you’ll work independently while using our mobile work app to manage appointments and update completed work.

What You’ll Do

• Complete general residential maintenance and repair work
• Perform property inspections and preventative maintenance
• Install and remove lockboxes
• Replace HVAC filters and complete routine maintenance tasks
• Repair doors, locks, faucets, toilets, light fixtures, blinds, shelving, hardware, smoke detectors, and other common residential fixtures
• Assemble and install household items when required
• Take clear photos and complete digital inspection reports
• Report maintenance concerns and recommend additional repairs when necessary
• Use our mobile work app to receive work orders, navigate using GPS, upload photos, and update job statuses
• Travel between appointments using your own vehicle
  
  

Mandatory Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of paid handyman, property maintenance, construction, renovation, or related experience
• Ability to complete common residential maintenance tasks independently
• Must have your own reliable vehicle
• Must have your own tools and equipmentrequired for general maintenance work
• Must have your own suitable smartphone capable of using GPS, work apps, taking photos, and submitting job updates
• Basic English communication skills
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable with GPS-confirmed appointments
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in residential property maintenance
• Experience completing inspections and documenting repairs
• Broad knowledge of common household maintenance and repairs
• Ability to identify maintenance issues before they become larger problems
