Purpose of Role: The Hose Builder is responsible for manufacturing hoses based on given drawings and sketches. They should have prior knowledge of how to read blueprints and how to use common hand tools.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Industrial Machines: Operate machines including pneumatic impacts, textile cutting machine, lathe, hydrostatic test equipment, forklifts and overhead cranes
- Read Blueprints and Drawings: Interpret drawings, sketches, and other written instructions to prepare mandrels for application of rubber and textiles according to customer requirement
- Layout Materials and Components: Use a layout table to accurately layout components according to the specified tolerances according to engineered drawings
- Use Various Tools: Use of basic hand tools, part measuring equipment, jib cranes, lifting chains and slings, pneumatic wrenches, and grinders
- Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
- High School diploma
- 1-2 years of general laborer experience
- Thorough knowledge of reading and understanding blueprints as well as knowledge of measurement tools (e.g., tape measure, square, calipers)
- Forklift license required within 6 months of employment (will be provided through Weir)
