What You’ll Be Doing

You will be a welcomed member of the Medicine Hat Care Community team, working in a fast-paced environment where you will make a meaningful difference in residents’ lives. As a Hospitality Housekeeper you will do meaningful work everyday ensuring a safe and clean environment for residents’. As an individual and part of a wider team, you will be a strong contributor to the culture of the home, where the focus is always on helping residents live fully, every day.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Provide Thorough Cleaning within the Home:
  • Receive assignments, gather materials, and transport supplies to work area.
  • Perform a variety of cleaning tasks including:
  • Resident room cleaning as per assigned schedule.
  • Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and shampooing carpets.
  • Spot cleaning walls, windows, and doors.
  • Dusting and sanitizing furniture, shelves, and woodwork.
  • Emptying wastebaskets and rearranging furniture.
  • Daily cleaning and disinfecting of bathrooms, including floors, fixtures, and walls.
  • Prepare rooms for new occupants, ensuring they are tour-ready at all times.
  • Provide Resident Privacy and Room Preparation:
  • Ensure residents' privacy is respected during cleaning duties.
  • Prepare rooms for new occupants according to prescribed procedures, ensuring they are tour-ready at all times.
  • Perform any other assigned duties as needed.

Who You Are

  • You are compassionate and dedicated to meaningful work that supports seniors in living life fully
  • You are detailed-oriented and have and have strong customer service skills and ability to effectively communicate with residents and staff.

What You Need To Know

  • You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit
  • You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check
