The Role

The HR Coordinator, Data & Systems, plays an essential role in ensuring HR data systems are seamlessly integrated across the organization and providing real-time information to drive smart business decisions. The HR Coordinator has a natural curiosity for understanding how things work and are always looking for opportunities to improve processes through automation. This position is responsible for managing and optimizing HR technology systems to ensure they meet the needs of the organization. In addition, this position plays an important role in a variety of Human Resources programs and processes, including but not limited to recruitment, benefit and pension administration, recognition platform management, as well, helping to enhance HR analytics and analyze data and systems to find smart ways to deliver HR services.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Management: Oversee the daily operation of HRIS, including customization, development, maintenance, and data management.
  • Reporting: Generate various monthly, quarterly, annual and ad hoc HR reports, including employee details and usage reports.
  • Data Processing: Process employee data such as new hires, departures, leaves, wage changes, benefit and pension enrolments, working hours, entitlements and other HR-related information.
  • Project Management: Lead and/or support HRIS upgrades, projects and system integrations.
  • User Account Management: Create and manage user accounts, update employee information, and manage access permissions.
  • System Maintenance: Perform system upgrades, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support as needed.
  • System Improvements and Optimization: Collaborate with HR, IT, and management to identify system improvements and enhancements. Serve as an SME for various core HR modules and support system testing, upgrades and implementation activities.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement within HR processes and recommend enhancements using HRIS functionalities.
  • Data Integrity: Ensure the accuracy and security of HR data by conducting regular audits and maintaining data integrity.
  • Training: Train system users on functionalities and new features along with benefits of HRIS.
  • Compliance: Ensure the HRIS complies with relevant legislation and data protection requirements.
  • Recognition: Support the day-to-day management of our employee recognition platform and ensure the platform is accurate, while supporting users, maintain content and data, monitor activity, and identify opportunities to improve the employee experience.
  • Work in partnership with HR and other stakeholders to streamline HR processes and data integration with other systems.
  • Provide excellent client service to internal and external parties and maintain effective relationships with various client groups.
  • Be aware of enterprise risk management issues as they relate to Human Resources.

What We Are Looking For

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in a Human Resources, Business-related field, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Experience in HR, HR Operations, HR systems, analytics, payroll, or a related field
  • Advanced Excel skills and a passion for working with data
  • Experience creating reports, dashboards, and meaningful business insights
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Experience working with HRIS platforms, preferably Dayforce
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with cross-functional partners
  • Must be bondable

Salary range: 65,000-70,000

The compensation offered to the successful applicant for this role will be determined by the candidate’s relevant skills and experience and internal equity. More information about our total rewards package will be available during the hiring process.
