Human Resources Representative (12-Month Maternity Leave Contract)

  • Location: New Westminster, BC (Quayside)
  • Salary: $50,000 – $55,000 per year
  • Term: Full-Time, 12-Month Maternity Leave Contract (with the option to extend) | Monday – Friday (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM)

Why This Role?

Are you a people-focused HR professional looking to move beyond basic administration and into a role where you can truly influence culture? We are looking for a Human Resources Representative who is ready to be the heartbeat of our team for a 12-month contract, with the potential for extension.

Located at our beautiful Quayside office in New Westminster, you won't just be "processing paperwork"—you will be a champion for the employee experience, a trusted advisor to our staff, and a key player in our HR digital transformation.

The Impact You’ll Make

As our HR Representative, you will balance operational excellence with high-touch employee support. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Employee Advocacy: Serve as the first point of contact for HR inquiries, providing clear guidance on policies, benefits, and the employee lifecycle.
  • Systems & Innovation: Take the lead on HRIS management. If you have experience with SAP SuccessFactors, you’ll be our internal expert as we maintain data integrity and compliance.
  • The First Impression: Own the documentation and coordination that ensures our new hires have a seamless, "best-in-class" onboarding experience.
  • Operational Synergy: Partner closely with Payroll to ensure seamless data flow regarding leaves, schedules, and compensation updates.
  • Strategic Projects: Get involved in the fun stuff—from employee engagement initiatives and team-building events to modernizing our internal HR processes.

What You Bring to the Team

We are looking for a proactive communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • Education: A Diploma or Degree in Human Resources or Business.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of progressive HR experience. You should have a solid grasp of BC Employment Standards and Human Rights legislation.
  • Tech Savvy: You are highly proficient in Microsoft Office. Direct experience with SAP HRIS or SuccessFactors is a significant asset.
  • Professionalism: You handle confidential data with the utmost discretion and possess a "solutions-first" mindset.
  • Credentials: A CPHR designation (or being in pursuit of one) is a definite plus.

Why You’ll Love It Here

  • Contract Opportunity: Enjoy a robust 12-month maternity leave contract with the exciting option to extend based on organizational needs and growth.
  • Dynamic Culture: Join a team that values innovation and connection. We work hard, but we also prioritize a supportive, social atmosphere.
  • Location: Work in a vibrant area of New Westminster with easy access to transit and local amenities.
  • Comprehensive Package: Competitive salary, benefits, and a stable Monday-to-Friday schedule.

Don’t hold back! Apply today, even if you do not tick every skills list. We cherish diverse skill sets, knowing your unique experiences and perspectives enrich our dynamic team.

We are proudly Canadian, rooted in our diverse communities, guided by our values, and committed to growing together from coast to coast.
