Total Assigned days (AC) / Total Hours per biweekly pay Posting is to create a casual list of Mathematics/Science instructors for the Moose Jaw Campus. Assignment is less than 29 occasions per year
Posting Status Open Your role as a part-time instructor at Saskatchewan Polytechnic will be supported through instructional materials, on-going employer provided training, and our requisite faculty certificate program. This initiative will develop our instructors professionally while ensuring a high quality learning experience for all Saskatchewan Polytechnic students

Job Duties

Job Duties 1. Provide instruction in general science, math and physics classes to post-secondary students in a wide variety of programs.
2. Prepare for and use appropriate delivery methods for instructional assignments.
3. Manage his/her classroom/lab/activities to ensure an optimum learning environment for students.
4. Use appropriate methods of evaluating and recording student progress.
5. Make necessary curriculum adjustments to course content.
6. Accommodate students with special learning needs.
7. Attend staff, program and division meetings.
8. Pursue professional development opportunities to keep current with industry and educational requirements.
9. Practice good interpersonal and communication skills.
10. Work cooperatively in an interdependent “team” environment.
11. Follow any academic regulations and/or policies adopted by Sask Polytech and/or the Campus

Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA) 1. Bachelor of Science (Physics or Mathematics/Statistics).
2. Two years’ recent relevant business or industry experience or post-secondary teaching experience.
