Journeyman Welder - Afternoon Shift

Position Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Welder to join our team on the morning and afternoon shift. In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality GTAW (TIG) welding on light gauge materials, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.

Afternoon Shift: 3:00PM - 11:30PM - Monday - Friday

Key Responsibilities

• Perform GTAW (TIG) welding on light gauge steel, aluminum, and stainless steel
• Utilize FCAW and GMAW processes as required
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications
• Ensure weld quality meets required standards and specifications
• Perform preventative maintenance on welding equipment
• Inspect finished welds to ensure accuracy, strength, and consistency
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets
  
  

Required Education & Qualifications

• Proven experience with GTAW (TIG), FCAW, and GMAW welding processes
• Ability to accurately read and interpret technical drawings
• Experience with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Willingness to work overtime (weekdays/weekends) as required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Experience operating shears and press brakes is considered an asset
• Safety Requirement - Respirator Use:This position may involve tasks requiring the use of a respirator.
• In accordance with occupational health and safety standards, all employees must be clean-shaven where the respirator seals to the face to ensure proper fit and protection. Compliance with this requirement is mandatory for employment in this role.
