Junior Buyer

Marshall Land Systems requires a Junior Buyer in Moncton, NB to join our team. Reporting to the Manager, Purchasing Shared Service, this role is responsible for supporting the Purchasing Shared Services team by ensuring that all materials, components, and services required for production are sourced efficiently and on time.
The Junior Buyer will act as a liaison between internal departments and external suppliers to ensure purchasing activities are aligned with operational and project goals.
Your responsibilities in this role:
- Work closely with the Purchasing Shared Services to team to maximize material availability and minimize working capital exposure across the region’s production site.
- Maintain close collaboration with the Planning, Warehousing, Operations, Project and Engineering departments to ensure material supply is accurate, in full, and on-time.
- Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers and products based on cost, quality, compliance, and lead time.
- Perform market analysis activities to support supplier selection and purchasing decisions.
- Keep up to date on market trends and pricing fluctuations for key commodities.
- Communicate with vendors to confirm delivery times and resolve any discrepancies that arise.
- Expedite purchase orders.
- Support the development of supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance metrics.
- Prepare reports and updates for the Purchasing Shared Services and Leadership team.
- Ensure data integrity in the ERP system to appropriately drive MRP.
- Monitor open orders to ensure production and project schedules are met.
- Communicate delay and shortage risks.
- Address delivery issues, quality discrepancies, or invoice mismatches in collaboration with relevant cross functional teams.
- Participate in cost saving and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Procurement or Operations expertise (2+ years) in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of ERP and MRP systems, P2P and procurement processes.
- Procurement and/or purchasing experience.
- Good numeracy skills/data management skills.
- Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Strong communication and problem solving skills.
- Ability to present data clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work under pressure with competing demands.
- Must be eligible to meet the requirements of export control regulations, including the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and Canadian Government security requirements.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The salary range for this position is $49,000 to $52,000 commensurate on qualifications and work experience.
