Job Type Full Time, Seasonal

Schedule 10+ hours per day, 6 & 1, OT after 8hr/day or 44hr/week

Location Edmonton and Surrounding Area’s - no direct access to public transportation

Pre-employment

• Drug and alcohol testing (swab-based test)

Pipelayer Responsibilities

• Directs activities within the trench to ensure the pipe is laid to the designed vertical and horizontal tolerances using levels or lasers.
• Align and position pipes to prepare them for welding, cementing or sealing with glue.
• Monitors backfill of pipe bedding to ensure proper haunch support.
• Install and repair sanitary and storm water, sewer structures and pipe systems.
• Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.

Pipelayer Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years’ experience as a pipelayer.
• Responsible for assembling, connecting and constructing pipe systems for storm or sanitation sewers, drains and water mains.
• Ensures ground is prepped and trenches dug out for pipes. Aligns pipes and seals joints together with cement or glue.
