Responsibilities
- Manage legal files from opening through resolution.
- Draft pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents.
- Coordinate court dates, trials, examinations for discovery, and appointments.
- Track deadlines, maintain court diaries, and manage bring-forward systems.
- Review correspondence and support lawyers and paralegals with daily workflow.
- Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential client files.
- Previous experience as a Legal Assistant.
- Legal Assistant or Paralegal diploma from a recognized institution.
- Knowledge of court rules, procedures, and processes.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with attention to detail.
- Motor vehicle accident claims experience is an asset.
- Must live in Vernon or be willing to relocate.
