Lobster Trap Builder

Spartan Industrial Marine, part of the Hercules Group of Companies, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Lobster Trap Builder to join our team in Paradise, NL location to oversee daily manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality traps that meet the demands of the industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Help plan, coordinate, and control manufacturing processes to ensure products are delivered on time and within budget.
• Building and assembling lobster traps.
• Work productively to achieve performance targets.
• Monitor production performance and implement improvements for productivity, quality, and cost-efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality regulations, and company policies.
• Manage resources, including raw materials, machinery, and production area.
• Coordinate weekly transfers of inventory and materials between locations.
• Receive incoming shipments, verifying quantities and inspecting for damage or discrepancies.
• Prepare and coordinate outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate documentation and timely dispatch.
• Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records and inventory logs.
  
  

Qualifications

• Experience in marine gear fabrication or trap production.
• Operate power tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Experience with shipping and receiving
• Able to work independently, and in a team environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
