Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our hotel team. This is a great opportunity for someone who has basic maintenance experience, enjoys working with their hands, and is interested in developing their skills in a hotel environment.

While previous maintenance experience is an asset, we are open to candidates with entry-level experience who demonstrate a strong work ethic, basic mechanical knowledge, and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains rooms in operating condition by performing repairs as needed.
• Repairs all appliances and damaged bathroom fixtures; executes general plumbing as needed.
• Maintains overall appearance of rooms; replaces broken mirrors, hangs fixtures, painting, etc.
• Repairs and maintains room's heating/ventilating/air conditioning systems
• Performs preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.
• Repairs furniture, carpet, marble, tile windows, mirrors and decorations as necessary.
• All other duties as required.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Previous maintenance, repair, construction, or handyman experience is an asset, but extensive experience is not required.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and general repairs is preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work at heights of approximately 10 feet when required.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in different weather conditions.
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to manage multiple maintenance requests.
