Alberta Health Services (AHS) is currently seeking someone like you who can provide direction, team leadership, and organization to the interdisciplinary teams of the Home Care and Long Term Care departments as the Care Manager in the lovely northern Alberta town of Peace River. As Care Manager, you will make front-line unit-level decisions, and serve as the main contact person for staff, physicians, patients, and the public as you oversee meeting Continuing Care accountabilities and providing safe, efficient patient and family-centered care in alignment with AHS’s vision, mission, and business plan. Required Qualifications: Active registration with applicable Alberta Regulated Health Profession. Minimum of five (5) years of related experience in clinical practice required and within the last three (3) in a leadership role. Previous experience in Continuing Care required. Equivalences of education and experience may be considered Additional Required Qualifications: Proven clinical and leadership skills. Superior organizational skills. Evidence of strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills. Evidence of initiative, flexibility, and creativity. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, physicians, community agencies, professional colleagues, volunteers, and the community. Evidence of strong commitment to excellence in patient care and Continuing Care accountabilities. Ability to function effectively in a dynamic work environment Preferred Qualifications: Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred; however, skills and experience relevant to nursing practice will be considered. Previous management experience preferred.
