Summary

Reporting to the VP, Operations, the Manager, Quality provides operational leadership and strategic direction for TCT’s ISO9001 Quality Management System (QMS). They will ensure continuous compliance with regulatory, customer, and OEM requirements, while driving cross-functional integration and a strong company-wide culture of quality and continuous improvement. This role anchors a high-performance culture that balances rigorous commitment to workplace safety for our people.

Duties

Duties will include but will not be limited to the following:

  • Drive and take ownership of the strategy, maintenance and control of TCT’s ISO9001 QMS, including updating the Quality Assurance Manual and all mandatory documentation.
  • Continually monitor and evaluate TCT’s QMS performance, providing strategic, guidance and recommendations on policies, processes and procedures to improve the effectiveness of the QMS.
  • Provide ongoing guidance, training and education on the QMS to all staff.
  • Champion Quality excellence by empowering all teams to take accountability for quality standards and actively contribute to the QMS.
  • Define and support the achievement of the annual Quality Plan (Published Quality/Business Objectives).
  • Oversee and manage the Internal Audit Program, leading theAudit Team and executing comprehensive internal assessments.
  • Host external Quality audits, including Customer, OEM and ISO9001.
  • Actively promote the culture of Continual Improvement throughout the business and lead company-wide Continual Improvement efforts, including management of the Quality Improvement (QIC) system.
  • Take ownership of TCT’s Non-Conformance (NCR) system and Quality Management Review meetings.
  • Analyze Customer Feedback (surveys, scorecards, reports) and coordinate corrective and preventative actions.
  • Liaise with Finance to accurately account for the Cost of Non-Conformance.
  • Define, collate, analyze and present performance metrics in support of the ‘measure, analyze and improve’ aspects of the QMS.
  • Provide leadership and oversight of the Production Quality Assurance (PQA) program, Engine Data Management (EDM) program and Document Control program.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to ensure TCT maintains an effective Training and Competency program.
  • Utilize applicable process improvement tools and techniques to identify areas of process optimization. Work with all areas of the business to facilitate introduction of solutions in a controlled manner using recognized change management practices.
  • Lead the Management of Change (MOC) processes applicable to the QMS as required throughout TCT.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Quality Team, fostering a high-performance culture aligned with internal goals and objectives..
  • Increase knowledge of the Health, Safety and Environment Policy and Safety Management system and maintain a positive attitude towards Health and Safety of myself and my coworkers.
  • Other duties as directed by your leadership team.

Qualifications And Experience

  • A technical diploma or specialized Quality education is highly preferred; an equivalent combination of education and direct experience will be considered.
  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience in a Quality or Engineering Technologist role.
  • Prior experience leading, mentoring, and developing small, high-performing teams.
  • Previous experience in aerospace or industrial gas turbine industry is an asset.
  • Strong comprehension and experience in ISO9001 Quality Systems.
  • Trained ISO 9001 Internal or Lead Auditor will be considered an asset.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing with industrial specifications and standards is required.
  • Strong planning, organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills are essential.
  • Working knowledge of continual improvement, process excellence and lean principles.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook).
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
