What You'll Be Doing
- Perform maintenance and repairs on marine vessels, barges, and related equipment
- Inspect mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems to ensure safe operation
- Troubleshoot issues and complete timely repairs to minimize downtime
- Support loading, unloading, and material handling operations on the water
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow all safety procedures
What Are We Looking For
- Welding ticket and millwright experience considered an asset
- Demonstrated ability to maintain and repair marine equipment and vessel systems, with strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills across multiple systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Commitment to safety while working effectively in a team environment
- Reliable communication skills and strong attention to detail
Conditions of Employment
- Successful candidate must submit to post offer pre employment physical examination and background check.
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to apply. Verification of age will be required as a condition of employment.
Work Environment
- Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
