The Opportunity

Our client, an established primary care clinic focused on personalized care, is growing and needs an experienced Medical Receptionist. You'll be the welcoming face of the clinic and an ambassador for patients and the team.

This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, at a clinic in the Woodbridge area. Free parking or a paid monthly transit pass is also provided.

What You'll Do:

- Greet patients and visitors and answer multi-line phones.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, including annual physicals.
- Maintain databases, prepare invoices and receipts, and mail patient materials.
- Document patient information accurately and confidentially, and prepare charts for insurance requests and records transfers.
- Arrange and expedite referrals, including to out-of-country providers from time to time.
- Set patient expectations about accessing medical services in Ontario.
- Work closely with physicians and clinical and administrative staff, staying calm in challenging situations.

What You'll Need:

- 2+ years' experience in a similar medical office position
- Knowledge of medical terminology and EMR systems
- Experience with multi-line phone systems
- Intermediate MS Excel and Word
- Excellent communication, organization and attention to detail
- Professional appearance and demeanour, and a strong commitment to patient service
