The Operations Supervisor – Surface Rentals is responsible for overseeing the daily coordination and execution of field operations relating to centrifuges, tanks, pumps, and associated rental equipment.
This role is based out of Leduc, Alberta.

This role is based out of Leduc, Alberta.

A Day in The Life
Leadership & Team Development
- Provide leadership, coaching, and support to field personnel.
- Promote a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.
- Support employee development, training, and competency tracking.
- Assist with scheduling personnel rotations and operational coverage requirements.
- Participate in a rotational supervisory structure including on-call, field, and support responsibilities.
- Respond to customer and field personnel calls in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinate daily operational activities, equipment moves, and service requirements.
- Maintain clear communication between customers, field crews, dispatch, shop, and management.
- Handle after-hours operational support requirements during on-call rotation.
- Ensure operational priorities and field issues are communicated effectively and actioned promptly.
- Conduct regular field and site visits to monitor operations, equipment condition, and personnel performance.
- Support field troubleshooting and operational decision-making.
- Coordinate equipment mobilization, demobilization, maintenance, and readiness.
- Support centrifuge operations and oversee rental equipment utilization and field performance.
- Assist with planning upcoming work scopes and field requirements.
- Ensure field documentation and operational paperwork are completed accurately and on time.
- Attend customer, safety, and operational meetings as required.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and field contacts.
- Address customer concerns and operational issues professionally and efficiently.
- Support operational planning and execution to ensure customer expectations are met.
- Work collaboratively with internal departments, including Operations, Billing, Safety, and Shop teams.
- Promote and uphold SECURE’s safety culture and safe operating practices.
- Ensure all personnel maintain required certifications, competencies, and training.
- Assist with the implementation and enforcement of company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Participate in incident reviews, hazard assessments, and safety meetings as required.
- Review operational paperwork, field tickets, and reporting for accuracy and completeness.
- Support operational cost control and equipment utilization efforts.
- Assist with tracking operational activity, billing information, and reporting requirements.
- Maintain organized operational records and documentation.
- Minimum 5+ years of oilfield operations experience.
- Experience with centrifuge operations, pumps, tanks, and related rental equipment is strongly preferred.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience within oilfield operations is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work effectively within a team-based operational environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and operational reporting systems.
- Valid H2S Alive, First Aid, and WHMIS certifications.
- Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License with acceptable abstract.
- Willingness to participate in a rotational supervisory schedule including on-call duties and field support.
