British American Tobacco Fiji has an exciting opportunity for a Pack Technician in Suva, Fiji

As a Packing Technician, you will play a meaningful role in maintaining the smooth functioning of our packing machinery and systems. Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and value-driven performance within the Production Technical team.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans aligned with machine care and reliability programs, ensuring successful vertical start-up after maintenance activities.
• Ensure effective maintenance planning to maintain equipment at base condition, minimizing process failures, downtime, and breakdowns.
• Support and participate in relevant Daily Management Systems (DMS) on the SMD production floor
• Develop technical training materials (e.g., One-Point Lessons), provide team capability building, and continuously upskill to operate and maintain production technologies.
  
  

What are we looking for?

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of relevant maintenance experience, preferably in an FMCG manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of machine maintenance, reliability, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively, foster teamwork, and deliver technical training while maintaining EHS standards.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with a dedicated, zero-loss approach and strong communication skills.
